Passel Estate’s 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon (already available on pre-release exclusively to our wine club) will be released in our tasting room and online at the end of this month, in perfect time for pairing with mid-winter roasts by the fire.
This fine wine has already received a host of medals from the international wine competitions, including most recently a GOLD medal in the International Wine and Spirit Competition.
In awarding this beautiful cabernet a GOLD medal, the esteemed IWSC judges provided these tasting notes:
“Rich aromas of dark cherries and blueberries are complemented by hints of tomato leaf and capsicum. The sophisticated palate erupts with vibrant red and blue fruits and integrated oak. The lingering finish reveals sweet spice, leather and brooding dark chocolate.”
Made from a single old-vine block of Houghton clone fruit with no varietal blending, ours is a pure expression of a Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon; the region’s flagship varietal.
Owner, Barry Stimpson, will be serving this plush and expressive wine with a succulent Margaret River roast rib of beef, duck fat roast potatoes and traditional yorkshire pudding in a nod to Wendy’s English roots!
