Pour a glass of wine and join Wendy and one of Singapore’s leading wine writers and editors, June Lee, at 5.30pm (AWST), next Thursday the 3rd December, on our Facebook page for our monthly online wine chat.
If you have ever had a desire to know exactly what goes on behind the scenes at a leading food and wine magazine, you won’t want to miss this Facebook Live discussion.
Known to many as Epicure Magazine’s Wine Editor, June has an extensive background in both the wine industry and world of journalism. While Wendy and June chat over a glass of our fragrant and refreshing 2018 Passel Estate Sauvignon Blanc, June will be sharing how a writer puts together an editorial theme and what process she goes through to bring a wine feature to the pages of the magazine.
A little more about June:
As a specialist food, travel and wine writer for close to 20 years, June continues to be passionate about the wide world of dining and drinking, especially after combining the two since 2012. She completed her Certified Specialist in Wines (CSW) and WSET Level 3, and has a keen interest in spirits, cocktails and bar hopping.
Since graduating from the National University of Singapore with honours in Sociology in 2001, June has chosen a career in writing and communications. She first worked in lifestyle magazines like I-S, Where Singapore and Time Out Singapore, helming dining guides and covering the food scene before spending 5 years in Corporate Communications at Banyan Tree.
While travelling and dining on assignments, June discovered her love for wines and spirits, and eventually decided to specialise in this endlessly fascinating world. She is currently epicure magazine’s wine editor since 2014, interviewing winemakers and the drinks scene in Singapore. Her previous projects include reporting on the Business Times (Singapore) inaugural CEO Wine Challenge in 2012, and serving as Singapore judge in the Sopexa Best Sommelier competition (2018 and 2019).
We look forward to seeing you online shortly!
