With the warm weather well and truly on its way, it is with great excitement we invite you to our very first celebration of the summer solstice at Passel Estate.
Raise a glass to the glorious rays of the longest day of the year and honour the summer solstice with gypsy jazz as the sun sets over the vines at Passel Estate. After enjoying a welcome glass of Passel Estate Sauvignon Blanc and nibbles on arrival, sit back and relax in the tranquil surroundings with friends.
With the golden afternoon transitioning into dusk, settle back to indulge in a gourmet supper hamper complete with a selection of regional delicacies. Cassandra Charlick and her Gypsy Jazz trio are set to fill the air with the sounds of French Manouche jazz guitar accompanied by her sultry vocals in the balmy summer evening.
The wine bar is accessible throughout the evening for wines by the glass or bottle and all seats are allocated prior to arrival for safe distancing. This is an 18+ event due to service of alcohol, strictly no BYO and sorry, no dogs.

Lachlan Gear is one of Australia’s most renowned Gypsy jazz guitarists. A virtuoso that blends his influences from Gypsy jazz along with contemporary, jazz, blues, bluegrass and country, he is one of Western Australia’s hardest working guitarists. When he’s not holding down the lead guitar chair in Perth’s premiere Gypsy Swing band, Sassafras, and performing in the South West, he is busy with his own projects – The Electric Django Quintet, Vipers Dream and Paper Moon.
Kevin is one of the most in demand session musicians and educators in the South West. He started his musical journey at the age of five joining in on the monthly Bluegrass jams at the family home in Canada, before completing his formal studies at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston. Playing not only guitar but electric and double bass, banjo, ukulele, and lap steel, Kevin has shared the stage with the likes of James Taylor, Carole King, Chris Isaack, Paul Kelly, Robbie Robertson and Diana Krall. He can be found performing regularly throughout the Southwest including leading his Instrumental Surf Band’ The Frothers’.
